各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

轉眼間，我在LTY服務已踏入第九個年頭。時間如微風拂過，不經不覺地流逝；正因如此，我們更應努力珍惜當下，細味在校園裡共度的每一天。我知道主任和老師們已為同學安排了不少活動，包括參觀、工作坊、講座等，希望繼續實踐並達成本校「經歷為本」的教育理念。今年更是我們的「我做得到！」（Year of Yes!）年度，透過不同活動，讓同學勇敢走出自己的舒適圈，挑戰自我，並在心底告訴自己：我有能力面對任何挑戰，我做得到。

Time flies, and I am now entering my ninth year of service at LTY. Time passes quietly like a gentle breeze; precisely because of this, we should cherish the present all the more and savor every day we spend together on campus. I know that our senior teachers and teachers have arranged a wide array of activities for the students—including visits, workshops, and seminars—hoping to continue implementing and achieving our school's "experience-based" educational philosophy. This year marks our "Year of Yes!" through which, via various activities, we encourage students to bravely step out of their comfort zones, challenge themselves, and tell themselves from the bottom of their hearts: "I have the ability to face any challenge; I can do it!"

開學以來，我們於每週二與週四分別推行中、英文早讀課，全校師生齊集禮堂共同閱讀。看見同學們從最初的未習慣，到現在一進入禮堂便能自動自發地靜心沉浸於書香之中，實在令人欣慰。閱讀是一生受用的禮物，盼望這份習慣能為同學們的終身學習奠定基石。

Since the start of the school term, we have implemented Chinese and English morning reading sessions every Tuesday and Thursday, respectively, where the entire school's teachers and students gather in the hall to read together. Seeing students transform from initially being unaccustomed to now automatically settling down into the world of books the moment they enter the hall is truly heartening. Reading is a lifelong gift, and I hope this habit serves as a cornerstone for our students' lifelong learning.

九月九日，全校師生一同參與了「天宮課堂·港澳專場」直擊直播。令人特別振奮的是，香港首位航天員黎嘉盈親自擔任主講之一，她不僅展示了太空獨特環境下的科學實驗，更以廣東話親切地分享太空生活點滴。學校除了安排直播外，更於午休時段重播精華，期盼在同學們心中播下探索科學的種子，激發勇敢追夢的熱情。

On 9th September, the whole school watched the live broadcast of the "Tiangong Classroom · Hong Kong & Macao Special Session." What was particularly thrilling was that Lai Ka-ying, Hong Kong’s first astronaut, served as one of the main speakers. She not only demonstrated scientific experiments in the unique space environment, but also warmly shared snippets of space life in Cantonese. In addition to arranging the live broadcast, the school also replayed highlights during lunch break, aiming to plant the seeds of scientific exploration in our students' hearts and ignite their passion to courageously pursue their dreams.

九月十四日德公課，全校師生齊集禮堂參加班呼比賽。同學與班主任共同創作班呼內容，並編排動作，各班輪流上台表演，藉此提升各班的士氣。看見同學們全情投入，用盡氣力為班別爭光，令我深受感動。其後，老師講解本年度校本獎勵計劃，旨在鼓勵同學盡情展現才能，並希望同學凡事盡力而為。

During the Moral and Civic Education class on 14th September, the whole school gathered in the hall for a class chant competition. Students and their class teachers co-created the chants and choreographed movements, with each class taking turns performing on stage to boost class morale. Seeing the students fully engaged and exerting all their energy to bring honor to their classes deeply moved me. Afterwards, teachers explained this year's school-based reward scheme, which aims to encourage students to showcase their talents to the fullest and do their best in everything.

各類型活動相繼展開，田徑隊同學已開始訓練，英詩集誦隊亦加緊練習。英詩集誦隊已有多年經驗，他們每天在早會期間表演，讓同學欣賞。同學們今年鬥志高昂，希望勇奪冠軍，我很欣賞他們的鬥志，讓我們一起努力。此外，英詩獨誦亦開始練習，老師希望給予同學更多時間練習，期望同學們在比賽中取得佳績。

Various activities have launched one after another. The athletics team has begun training, and the English choral speaking team is also practicing hard. The English choral speaking team has years of experience, performing during morning assemblies every day for fellow students to appreciate. The students are in high spirits this year, aiming to win the championship. I greatly admire their determination—let us work hard together! Furthermore, practice for English solo verse speaking has also commenced. Teachers hope to give students more time to practice, expecting them to achieve excellent results in the competition.

本校每年九月均舉行全校旅行日。以往旅行日多安排在三、四月，可惜那段時間香港較多雨天，因此經常取消；後來改於九月舉行，因為天氣較舒適，下雨機會亦不大。我們更希望藉此在開學初期讓師生加深了解，使日後學習更順暢。今年選址荃灣曹公潭戶外康樂營，當日風和日麗，大家帶着期待的心情前往。一到達，便看見康樂中心大樓色彩繽紛，令大家聯想到本校校舍，內裡有不同設施。同學們已急不及待跟着班主任四處參觀、遊玩，不一會兒便汗流浹背。我們希望讓同學盡興，因此讓他們盡情遊玩，至中午才召集大家回校解散。接着便是中秋節，同學們可連續享有數天假期休息。

Our school holds an annual school picnic day every September. In the past, picnic days were mostly scheduled for March or April. Unfortunately, Hong Kong experiences more rainy days during that period, leading to frequent cancellations. It was later moved to September because the weather is more comfortable and the chance of rain is slim. We also hope to use this opportunity early in the school year for teachers and students to deepen their mutual understanding, making future learning smoother. This year, the chosen location was the Tsang Tsui Camp (Tsuen Wan Tsao Kung Tam Outdoor Recreation Centre). It was a bright and beautiful day, and everyone set off with anticipation. Upon arrival, the colorful recreation center building immediately reminded us of our school campus, housing various facilities inside. Students followed their class teachers around to explore and play, breaking into a sweat in no time. Wanting the students to enjoy themselves to the fullest, we let them play as much as they liked until noon, when we gathered everyone to return to school for dismissal. Following that was the Mid-Autumn Festival, allowing students to enjoy a few consecutive days of holiday rest.

九月十八日（星期五），下午的體藝課，舉行一個全校的活動，因為翌日，在日本名古屋舉行第二十屆亞洲運動會。體育組老師藉此機會作介紹，最重要將學校不同的地方改為不同的運動場地，給予學生運動的機會，令大家注意運動對身體健康的重要性。

On the afternoon of Friday, 18th September, a school-wide event was held in the afternoon, marking the opening of the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, the following day. Physical education teachers took this opportunity to introduce the event and, most importantly, converted different areas of the school into various sports venues, providing students with opportunities to exercise and reminding everyone of the importance of exercise for physical health.

本校向來重視教師專業意見與家校協作。為了促進學校管理透明化，並讓教職員共同參與重大決策，本年度教員校董選舉於九月十七日完成順利投票，並於次日公布結果：由鍾世傑主任當選為教員校董，劉賢新主任當選為替代教員校董。感謝兩位主任的承擔與付出，未來將代表全體教師在法團校董會中出謀劃策，共同推動校務發展。

Our school has always valued teachers' professional input and home-school collaboration. To promote transparency in school management and involve staff in major decision-making, this year's IMC Teacher Manager Election was successfully voted on 17th September, with results announced the next day: Senior Teacher Mr. Chung Sai-kit was elected as the Teacher Manager, and Senior Teacher Lau Yin-san was elected as the Alternate Teacher Manager. Thank you to both senior teachers for their commitment and dedication. They will represent all teachers on the Incorporated Management Committee to offer ideas and jointly drive the school's development forward.

今年的中秋節格外特別。在節日前夕的早會上，我請校務處 Kenny 哥哥協助，將校園生活點滴融入故事中，運用人工智能（AI）製作了一本專屬於 LTY 的中秋繪本故事並配上音樂。分享當天，禮堂鴉雀無聲，師生們看著螢幕上熟悉的校園面孔與情節，深深被這份溫情打動。到了下午的德公課，我們更特別邀請家長踏入校園一同慶祝。感謝工友姨姨精心佈置懸掛的花燈，將禮堂烘托得喜氣洋洋。活動中，劉碧琪老師親自示範並指導大家製作月餅。最後，家長們協助準備了豐富的水果與節日美食，與師生熱情分享。這場結合科技創新與人文溫情的活動，不僅拉近了家校距離，更傳承了團圓的文化意義。

This year's Mid-Autumn Festival was extra special. On the morning assembly before the festival, I asked Kenny from the General Office to help integrate campus life moments into a story, using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create an exclusive LTY Mid-Autumn picture book story set to music. On the day of the sharing, the hall was pin-drop silent. Teachers and students watched familiar campus faces and scenes on the screen, deeply touched by the warmth. In the afternoon Moral and Civic Education class, we specially invited parents into the campus to celebrate together. Thanks to our janitors who meticulously decorated the hall with hanging lanterns, creating a festive atmosphere. During the event, Ms. Lau Bicky personally demonstrated and guided everyone in making mooncakes. Finally, parents helped prepare a rich spread of fruit and festive delicacies to share enthusiastically with teachers and students. This event, combining technological innovation with humanistic warmth, not only narrowed the distance between home and school, but also carried forward the cultural significance of reunion.

九月二十八日（星期一）全校師生提早進食午餐，我們在下午一時正，前往國家安全展覽廳參觀，這是一個很難得的機會，平日在學校只能夠得到老師作講述，在場館內有專業人士為同學們講解及互動。當我們到達了場館，已經被場內的裝飾吸引了，同學們都十分興奮。同學們分成三組，由三位人員分別為我們講解，他們不單講解，更與同學互動，令我最安慰的是這些講解的人員不斷讚賞同學的表現，認為學校老師的教導很有效，所以他們能夠與人員互動及回答問題，經常聽到講解人員讚賞同學們的表現。之後，我們仍有一些時間，所以到旁邊的「香港故事」參觀，這次的參觀令老師十分開心，他們也充當為講解人員為同學們講解香港昔日的歷史，更有老師與我互動，他們年少的時候只有一次機會到舊式戲院欣賞電影，看見館內的懷舊場景，不禁令我回味昔日的童年時代。當我們離開之前，我們在展館拍攝留念。當天亦有不同的中學及小學前往參觀，國家安全，人人有責。我在出發前，也向同學查問，你們會否注重家中的安全嗎？你們可以隨便將門打開，讓陌生人任意走入家中做甚麼的事也可以嗎？同樣道理，國家安全是每一個人責無旁貸的，希望這次參觀可以將國家安全這個重要的概念放在學生的心中。

On Monday, 28th September, all teachers and students had lunch early. At 1:00 p.m., we went to the National Security Exhibition Hall for a visit. This was a very valuable opportunity because students can only receive explanations from our teachers, but at the venue, there were professional staff who guided and interacted with and students. When we arrived at the exhibition hall, we were immediately attracted by the decorations inside. The students were very excited. We were divided into three groups, and each group was guided by a staff. They not only gave explanations, but also interacted with the students. What made me most reassured was that the staff kept praising our students’ performance, saying that the teaching from our school teachers was effective. Because of this, the students were able to interact with the staff and answer questions. We frequently heard the guide praising the students. After that, we still had some time, so we visited the nearby “Hong Kong Stories” exhibition. This visit made the teachers very happy as they also acted as guides to explain Hong Kong’s history to the students. There were also moments where teachers and I interacted. In addition, the teachers shared that when they were young, they only had one chance to watch movies at an old-style cinema. Seeing the nostalgic scenes in the museum brought back memories of their childhood, and it made me reflect on my own childhood as well. Before we left, we took a group photo in the exhibition hall as a memento. That day, different secondary schools and primary schools also came to visit. National security is everyone’s responsibility. Before we set off, I also asked the students a question: “Do you pay attention to safety at home? Could you just leave your door open so that strangers can freely come into your home and do whatever they want?” Similarly, national security is a duty that every person must take responsibility for. I hope this visit can help students keep in mind the important concept of national security.
